The Therapeutic Teacher: Convo Cards (Teen Edition)

Being a teen or young adult can be challenging at times. This can be especially true for teens who are not considered the dominant culture or who have experienced trauma. Our cards are designed based on the CASEL Competencies (Self-Management, Self-Awareness, Responsible Decision Making, Relationship Skills, and Social Awareness). Each category has 10 open-ended questions that are trauma-informed and culturally sustaining and were created by a classroom teacher turned mental health therapist. The prompts can be used as writing prompts for journals, topics for restorative circles, and can also used by counselors and therapists in therapy sessions. These cards are meant to create throught-provoking conversations that are relevant to our teens' lives.
