We Build Trauma-Informed Communities
"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." - M. Wheatley
Restoring Communities and Families
Thank you for your interest in our Community and Family program. We aim to help strengthen families by engaging communities in a strength-based, trauma-informed, and restorative framework. We know that in order to build strong communities, we must build strong families.
Interested in learning more?
We have partnered with sports teams, daycares, schools, and local churches to share practical and evidence-based strategies. These community based strategies are designed to increase positive outcomes of students and reduce the number of families in our prison and school discipline system. We empower our community partners with mental, social, and emotional support that provide training in restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, and community advocacy.
How does our program strengthen student outcomes?
We help students build beliefs in themselves through self-efficacy. Through our program, adults learn to teach students how to master experiences through self-management, self-awareness, social awareness, and relationship skills, and to learn how to make responsible decisions.
